Take a cable car to the upper station at 2,500 meters (8,200 feet). If winds are strong, 4x4 buses will take you to the same altitude, where you can view the Summit craters and the Ionian coast. From there, ride a 4x4 bus up to 2,900 meters (9,500 feet), the highest point allowed. Alpine/Volcanological guides will ensure your safety as you explore the landscape.
