About This Experience
Fenix is Rotterdam's art museum about migration, named one of TIME's World's Greatest Places 2026. Discover contemporary art, photography, and immersive installations from around the world. See works by artists including Willem de Kooning, Shilpa Gupta, and Yinka Shonibare. Walk through the Suitcase Labyrinth and explore *The Family of Migrants*, a photography exhibition featuring nearly 200 images depicting departures, journeys, and arrivals. Visit the Tornado, the museum's twisting staircase, which rises through the building to a viewing platform overlooking Rotterdam. Located in a historic waterfront warehouse where millions of people once arrived and departed, Fenix explores stories of migration through art and personal experiences.
